Greenwich Park
02/01/2009
Greenwich is London’s oldest enclosed Royal Park. Part of a World Heritage Site, it covers 74 hectares and is home to the Prime Meridian Line and the old Royal Observatory. It’s a remarkable space – and one that calls out for imaginative and experienced management.

With your impressive record of managing urban and formal parks, you’ll thrive on the many challenges Greenwich has to offer. We’ll look to you to ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently across a full range of operations – from horticulture, maintenance and cleansing to works, landscaping and arboriculture. Not only this, you’ll help develop and implement plans to make this vibrant park even more cherished by its visitors.

To be considered, it’s essential that you’re experienced in liaising, negotiating and communicating with a broad range of contractors, stakeholders and outside organisations. Along with your well-tested financial skills, you’ve the confidence to work in the public arena and the creativity to solve problems. Not least, you have a sound understanding of amenity horticulture and Agenda 21, including green housekeeping and biodiversity.

To receive full details and an application pack, please email personnel8@royalparks.gsi.gov.uk or post to the HR Department, The Royal Parks, The Old Police House, Hyde Park, London W2 2UH, quoting the reference code PMGPRPW.

This is your space.
