The Royal Parks HR Officer & Customer Services Manager

I have worked in the Human Resources department based in Hyde Park for eight years, initially as the HR Assistant and then promoted to HR Officer & Customer Services Manager three years ago. My HR role encompasses many responsibilities, including advising staff on policies and procedures, recruitment, payroll, providing government statistical information and day to day personnel issues. To ensure the department keeps up to date with current practices, I regularly attend conferences for pensions, recruitment, policy and personnel database updates, adapting our procedures as necessary. I represent The Royal Parks at diversity networks and work closely with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) group.

I am also the Customer Services Manager for The Old Police House, which entails providing a reception service not only for visitors, but also for HQ and Hyde Park's staff, The Royal Parks Foundation and the Metropolitan Police. Meeting such a wide range of needs is a rewarding challenge.
